Stanislav Libensk\u00fd (1921\u20132002) und Jaroslava Brychtov\u00e1 (1924\u20132020), geboren in der damaligen Tschechoslowakei, z\u00e4hlen zu den wichtigsten Pionieren der modernen Glasplastik. Das K\u00fcnstlerpaar erhielt erstmals internationale Anerkennung auf der Weltausstellung 1958 in Br\u00fcssel. Sie entwickelten die geschmolzene Glasplastik zu einer innovativen, eigenst\u00e4ndigen k\u00fcnstlerischen Ausdrucksform. Ihre Arbeiten inspirierten K\u00fcnstler weltweit, darunter die amerikanischen K\u00fcnstler Littleton und Chihuly. Libensk\u00fd lehrte 24 Jahre als Professor an der Akademie f\u00fcr Kunst, Architektur und Design in Prag und pr\u00e4gte dort Generationen von Glask\u00fcnstlern.<\/p>\n
